In support of of their buzzworthy debut full-length album Heavy Eyes, Hamilton’s Basement Revolver has announced that they'll be returning to the UK for a run of dates supporting Heavenly Records recording artist Amber Arcades this October. Dates appear below.

Amber Arcades is the moniker of Dutch musician Annelotte de Graaf. Having written and recorded songs in a solo setting for some time, she flew out to New York in 2015 and teamed up with producer Ben Greenberg to record her debut album, Fading Lines. The Cannonball EP followed in 2017. This year, she releases her second album ‘European Heartbreak, via Heavenly Recordings.  The album was recorded and co-produced in LA with Chris Cohen from Deerhoof and in Richmond, Virginia with Trey Pollard (Natalie Prass, The Waterboys, Bedouine) who oversaw horn and string overdubs. It is accompanied by a trilogy of arthouse videos directed by Elliot Arndt (Vanishing Twin, Cristobal & The Sea).

Hooky yet atmospheric trio Basement Revolver — Chrisy Hurn (vocals, guitar), Nimal Agalawatte (bass, synth) and Brandon Munro (drums) — has been on a steady upward trajectory since the success of their debut single “Johnny” in 2016. They followed with the single “Words”, flagged in several end of year lists, and 2017’s Agatha EP, whose the single “Bread & Wine” reached the B-list on Radio BBC 6 Music and also garnered support from John Kennedy at Radio X. The band has racked up over one million plays on Spotify across the two EPs, while forging a sound that is capable of stripping listeners of inhibition, yet heavy-hitting enough to leave a lasting impression.

For their debut full-length, the band returned to local studio TAPE where they had recorded both their EPs. Having developed a solid relationship with producers Adam Bentley and Jordan Mitchell, they continued to hone their signature sound, finding the freedom to get heavier for some songs and more laid-back for others. The resulting material has been described as “lush, pop-forward and anthemic” (BolderBeat), a body of song that  “radiates a melancholic glory” (The Big Takeover).
